May 9, 2026: Mother’s Day Firstival (in partnership with Visit Philadelphia’s 52 Weeks of Firsts)

Give it up for Mom … Philly-style! The nation’s very first public Mother’s Day celebration, organized by St. George’s member Anna Jarvis, took place in Philly at the Wanamaker’s Department Store, honoring the women who do it all. Join us at HSG to make Mother’s Day cards, watch performances and hear the history of Mother’s Day! Bring the flowers, bring the love, and bring the tissues (no sign up required).
