His vision for St. George’s is as both a vital congregation in resurgent Old City Philadelphia and a first class museum, archive, and destination for tourists. As part of this visioning process, an architectural study with historic restoration specialists John Milner and Associates seeks improvements to the facility that will add handicapped access, upgrade gathering space, archival storage and further enhance the library and the museum.
He, with St. George’s, are always looking for ways to rekindle, renew and reconcile relationships with Mother Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas and Mother African Zoar UMC.
Fred is married to Linda, a public school teacher for the Radnor Middle School. They have two daughters, Carly and Claire and a Golden Retriever, Roxy.
For fun they spend summers in a small cottage in Stone Harbor, NJ. Fred enjoys golf, going to Eagles and Phillies games (and is most grateful for an appointment in close proximity to Lincoln Financial Field and Citizen’s Bank Park). One of his prize possessions is a tape of Eagle’s broadcaster Merrill Reese calling Fred’s pretend- catching a touchdown pass against the Dallas Cowboys. He is a film buff and is very thankful for Turner Classic Movies.
